The Playlab cannot exist without the dedication of its volunteers. We are always looking for those with a heart for service to help us fulfill our mission!
Examples of the various Playlab events with volunteer opportunities throughout the year
for either fundraising or community outreach:
Summer Golf Outing
The Playlab hosts an annual golf outing in early summer. Talk about a great way to kick off summer by enjoying a beautiful day outside on a golf course! Plus it's a great time for all those who attend, including our volunteers that range from 3 feet to 7 feet tall! Aside from the golf scramble itself, there are fun games on the course along with prizes, raffles, and delicious food to wrap it all up.
Back-to-School Bash
Part of how the Playlab gives back to the community that gives so generously to the Playlab is by hosting an annual Back-to-School Bash in early August.
This is a FREE event for families to attend with backpacks/bags of school supplies handed out to kids in attendance plus fun activities like a bounce house, face painting, STEAM activity/craft, free haircuts, along with other community organizations who are setup with resources and giveaways.
5K and Family Fun Run
Whether you're a serious runner or simply enjoy a nice walking stroll, our annual 5K and Fun Run each fall has something for everyone!
This themed event with costumes encouraged is family-friendly complete with additional activities for kids and adults to enjoy on the LincWay grounds where the Playlab is located.
Winter Gala
Get all dressed up and we'll give you a place to go - the Winter Gala in December!
This is a formal event with amazing food and entertainment while supporting the great cause of the Playlab by bidding on incredible auction items and partaking in other fun activities through the evening.
